It is said that good staff can be hard to come by, and that is something the management team of luxury boutique hotels’, Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa in Brockenhurst and the Montagu Arms Hotel in Beaulieu know only too well.
Launching yesterday and running through the week, employees at both properties are taking part in ‘Staff Appreciation Week’ complete with events before a staff raffle with prizes rounds off the week.
Employing over 200 members of staff, the hotels are a key employer in the local area and help to accommodate many thousands of tourists visiting the New Forest National Park each year.
Kicking off the week, staff will be invited to enjoy complimentary mini massages provided by the therapists at SenSpa at Careys Manor.
Across the week, the management team have organised for refreshments to be positioned in staff areas, offering hot drinks, fresh fruit and a candy station with assorted sweets available, while entertainment will be provided in the form of a games room, complete with a crystal maze setup, games console and mini-skittles.
The highlight of the week will come on Friday when a raffle draw with prizes including the chance to win extra holiday, a kindle fire, a luxury spa hamper and much more, takes place.
Each employee will receive a ticket for the raffle, while additional tickets can be purchased from HR with all proceeds being donated to the hotels’ charity of the year, McMillian Cancer Support.
James Hiley-Jones, group operations director comments: “As a luxury hotel business we rely entirely on our staff to look after our customers and provide a level of service which goes above and beyond that expected. Without the hard work and dedication of each and every member of the team, we wouldn’t be where we are today. It is this continued commitment to the business and to the customer that we are looking to recognise this week.
“Following a number of successful years of business, which has seen both hotels grow and flourish, each taking home many prestigious local, national and international awards in the process, the Staff Appreciation week is just a little way of saying a ‘great big thank you’ to each and every member of staff.”
