Como Hotels and Resorts has appointed Javier Beneyto as the new general manager of the 144-bedroom Como Metropolitan London.
The news follows the departure in April of Thomas Orchard, who oversaw both the Como Metropolitan London and sister hotel Como The Halkin as regional general manager for the last 18 years.
Beneyto joins the team after launching Como’s newest addition to the collection, Como Uma Canggu in Bali.
He will also head up the team as the hotel launch a new restaurant concept in September 2018, which will replace the Met Bar, London’s first private members club.
After a full refurbishment in 2015, Como Metropolitan London evolved with a keen focus on the health and wellbeing of its guests.
The addition of the new restaurant will help to enhance the hotel’s position as a contemporary alternative on Park Lane.
