Aviator, a hotel by the TAG group, has appointed a new general manager.
The luxury hotel in Farnborough, Hampshire, has welcomed Dominic Osbourne to take the helm, who will now be responsible for all operations at Aviator and working on growing the business at The Swan, the brand’s new gastropub located next to the hotel.
Osbourne replaces Mark Ashton, who joined Aviator in 2014.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Osbourne has enjoyed stints at top hotels including Ashdown Park Hotel, the De Vere Group and Malmaison Brighton.
In 2013, he was appointed general manager and director of stadium catering as he led the landmark project to open the Hilton at The Ageas Bowl, a new 171-bedroom hotel located at the home of Hampshire cricket.
Osbourne said: “I’m delighted to have joined Aviator and I’m looking forward to leading the hotel through the next phase of its journey. Aviator has achieved a great deal since inception, in particular under Mark’s tenure over the past couple of years, and I am both determined and excited about building upon these successes and growing the business even further.”
Aviator was created by TAG Group as a luxury hotel for elite travellers moving between London and the world’s leading destinations. Located in North Hampshire, Aviator opened in 2008 as one of the most striking design hotels of recent times.
