The Doyle Collection has announced the appointment of Frits Potgieter as the new general manager of The Kensington Hotel in London.
Frits joins the establishment from his position as hotel manager for The Marylebone Hotel, where he was in charge of a team of 175 staff members since 2012. Whilst there, he successfully refurbished the Pantry at 108, the hotel’s afternoon tea and all-day dining concept.
Prior to this, he worked across a variety of luxury London properties including The Red Carnation Hotel Collection, The Milestone Hotels & Apartments and The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel.
His career began in 1999 at Brands Hatch Thistle Hotel before moving on to Radisson Edwardian Hotels. It was here that he swiftly moved up the ranks in the management team, before being appointed deputy general manager of The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel in 2005, and then the deputy general manager of The Milestone Hotel & Apartments in 2007.
