New owner-operator The House Collection has opened its second hotel, Paddocks House, following a full refurbishment of the property formerly known as Swynford Paddocks.
The 15-key Paddocks House is a converted 18th Century country house set in landscaped grounds in the Village of Six Mile Bottom, between Newmarket and Cambridge.
The opening follows the launch of the group’s first hotel, Poets House, in Ely in April 2013.
“Like Poets House, Paddocks House has been designed with discerning guests in mind, helping to meet growing demand for stylish, high-quality hospitality in mid-Anglia and the Cambridge area,” said The House Collection managing director David Toulson-Burke.
Facilities include a 46-cover restaurant, The Dining Room and The Garden Room — a conservatory-style venue, overlooking a Venetian garden, with capacity for up to 150 guests.
For smaller events, The Reading Room caters to up to 80 people and is close to the historic Brigadier Bar, while The Drawing Room can be set up as a stylish private dining or meeting room with capacity of up to 30.
