The Greyhound on the Test has welcomed Chris Heather as head chef.
Named the Michelin Pub of the Year in 2014, the establishment has appointed Heather from the Kings Arms in Hampshire, where he headed up the kitchen.
He has extensive experience in the industry, starting his career as a kitchen porter aged 14, before progressing to a three-year apprenticeship at Botley Park in Southampton.
He then travelled to Australia where he worked for 18 months in Sydney as a chef at Bondi Icebergs, on Bondi Beach.
When he returned to the UK, Chris started at The Ivy working with some top chefs for 18 months.
Heather now joins The Greyhound on the Test with a view to continue to strengthen its position in the market, and owner Lucy Townsend is delighted to have him on board.
