A new front of house manager with a wealth of experience has been appointed at The Kingham Plough in Oxfordshire.
Joining the award-winning pub with rooms in Chipping Norton on Wednesday, Simon Warr will help to manage the front of house team as the Kingham continues to go from strength to strength.
Warr has worked in many Michelin-star restaurants, including Midsummer House in Cambridgeshire and the move will see him return to his birthplace in the Cotswolds.
Chef proprietor Emily Watkins and her husband co-owner Miles will welcome Warr to the new position on November 4.
Warr said: “I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with some of the best in the industry, from small one and two Michelin-star properties, to large five-star hotels. Having accomplished everything that I set out to, as well as starting a family, it now feels like the right time to come back to the Cotswolds, where I feel I belong. I couldn’t be more excited to share the knowledge that I have gained with the team, which Emily leads so passionately, and even more importantly help the younger members of the team further their careers.”
The Kingham Plough has made quite the impact on the market in the Cotswolds since it launched in 2007. It won its third Rosette this year and was named Country Pub of the Year in the 2015 and 2016 Good Pub Guide.
