New 'Quiet Room' labels could erase problem of noisy guests

A new innovation has been launched to enable hoteliers to promote ‘quiet rooms’ to guests looking for a noise-free night away.

With noisy travellers still being cited as a top bugbear for travellers on TripAdvisor, the Quiet Room label aims to stimulate the creation of quiet hotel rooms and provide information for travellers looking for peaceful bedrooms within hotels.

Hotels interested in acquiring the Quiet Room label will have to their rooms thoroughly tested to make sure they meet the required standards set. Once they have passed the test, the hotel will be listed on Quiet Hotel Room’s website and can be found by travellers looking specifically for quiet hotel bedrooms.

The Quiet Room label provides a classification for silent hotel rooms with three categories. Rooms that meet the standards are by definition well built and sound insulated.
