Northern Ireland’s biggest hospitality group to open new £4m Belfast hotel

Northern Ireland’s largest hospitality group, the Beannchor Group, has announced plans to open a new boutique hotel in Belfast this October.

The group, which operates the five-star Merchant Hotel, The National Grande Café/sixty6, The Dirty Onion, Little Wing Pizzeria plus over 40 pubs across Northern Ireland, will open the £4m Bullitt Hotel before the end of the year.

Named after the Steve McQueen film of the same name, Bulitt will be a ‘vibrant new concept’ and a ‘cool space’ for people to stay and work in the city.

The hotel, on the corners of Victoria Street and Ann Street in Belfast, will be home to 43 bedrooms, three bars including Northern Ireland’s first ski-themed bar, a garden, a 68-cover restaurant Taylor and Clay, plus an event space and bar.

The hotel will also create 100 new jobs when it opens.

Beannchor director Conall Wolsey said: “Our vision for Bullitt is to create a new and exciting hospitality concept. The hotel will offer so much more than just a bed for the night, it will also be a place where people can work, relax and socialise.”
