Nottingham’s newest bar opens inside chic boutique


Nottingham’s nearest bar is gearing up to launch and become part of the offering at St James Hotel in the city’s castle quarter.

The No/6 bar will host a new cocktail menu, specialising in independent and unusual spirit brands, bringing something new to both locals and visitors to Nottingham.

The new offering will officially open on September 26, with a new menu consisting of a variety of classic cocktails and original tipples unveiled to the public.

No/6 stock a variety of up-and-coming independent UK brands, such as Sipsmith, Brecon Five and Chase Vodka, as well as ones from across the globe.

Adam Stephenson is the new bar manager behind the new drinks menu and is passionate about using only the very best brands to mix his concoctions.

General manager of No/6, Richard Johal, said: “We are passionate about working with independent and local businesses. We are an independent and unique business ourselves and we feel that the drinks that we stock should be representative of our brand and values.”

The No/6 Bar is situated inside the St James Hotel in Nottingham’s City Centre near to the historic landmark Nottingham Castle opposite.

The family-owned hotel boasts a variety of room designs ranging from crash pads to The Penthouse. All of the rooms have been designed exclusively by director, Harjeet Johal, to provide comfort with elegance and style throughout.

The hotel hosts weddings, meetings, conferences, and the bar also showcases art from local artists in the hotel’s own art gallery.
