Nottingham boutique, St James, is inviting guests to try a new beer-based cocktail exclusive to the city, during the Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival.
Crafted by the hotel’s No/6 bar’s mixologist and head bartender Adam Stephenson, ‘Drunken Monk’ is made up of Pale Ale, Chambord and Frangelico hazelnut liqueur.
The No/6 bar will have its own stall at the annual Beer and Cider Festival at Nottingham Castle and will showcase a variety of real ales and snacks from its bar menu.
Bar manager Adam Stephenson said: “There isn’t anything like the Drunken Monk available in Nottingham. It’s a drink for people who love cocktails and people who love beer, so it will be the perfect mix on a wintery night.
“The Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival is always a wonderful event which happens right on our doorstep and we are delighted to be involved.”
The No/6 bar stocks a range of independent UK brands, something which is really important to the bar’s DNA.
General manager of No/6, Richard Johal, said: “We are passionate about working with independent and local businesses, as we are an independent and unique business ourselves and we feel that the drinks that we stock should be representative of our brand and values.”
The bar has also just launched its 6 at 6 club where customers can receive discounts from 6pm Monday to Thursday.
