Oddfellows on the Park
Scheduled opening date: Early summer 2016
Number of bedrooms: 22
Joining the hugely popular establishment in Chester, the next boutique hotel in the Oddfellows family will open in early summer 2016.
The brand was officially given the go ahead in July 2015 to convert Bruntwood Hall in Cheadle, Manchester into a 22-bedroom boutique hotel and since then, as well as refurbishing the whole property, the hotel has since been appointing staff ahead of the launch.
The 19th century is being transformed into 22-bedroom boutique hotel, complete with restaurant, cocktail bar and private dining rooms.
Previously, Bruntwood Hall, set in more than 100 acres, has been used as a town hall, a racehorse stud farm and more recently a filming company. The boutique’s interior design will be inspired by its eclectic history, with quirky nods to its past dotted about the building.
Oddfellows had been on the lookout for a sister property for more than a year, searching for a hotel with charm, character and a story.
Jonathan Slater of Oddfellows Hotels said: “We are truly excited about the process of sympathetically converting beautiful Bruntwood Hall.
“As with our Chester hotel, the focus will be on restoring the building’s original features, keeping a true sense of history and incorporating the signature touch of playful design that characterises an Oddfellows hotel.”
Tim Groom Architects and SpaceInvader designers, both Manchester firms, are part of the team involved in the project.
