A former lecture hall at East Kent College has been transformed into a luxury boutique.
Set within a Grade II listed building, The Yarrow Hotel has 23 bedrooms, five suites and a 64-cover restaurant. Students from the college will be given the opportunity to gain skills by working at the property, including the chance to work with head chef, Ben Williams, who has previously worked in two Michelin star restaurants.
The menu will feature some of the best produce from across Kent.
The building itself was constructed in 1894 by Sir Alfred Yarrow as a place for sick children to convalesce.
It has been extensively refurbished and will give East Kent College students valuable experience in working at a busy luxury hotel. The Yarrow also offers wedding and celebration packages and has a spa on site.
