New Tunbridge Wells’ boutique hotel, One Warwick Park is ‘moving away from convention’ and choosing not to appoint a general manager ahead of its opening in June.
Instead, the new boutique has appointed a number of ‘rising star’ specialists to form the senior management team who will look after the 39-bedroom hotel.
“We made a conscious decision to move away from the conventional hospitality structure,” says Louise Clark managing director of Markerstudy Leisure, owner-operators of One Warwick Park. “We believe our staff should be experts in their field; knowledgeable curators of their own specialism, unrestricted by a rigid hierarchy which may not allow them to innovate, create and implement a superlative experience. We’ve therefore appointed from within to create roles which are responsible for different guest touch-points.”
The new One Warwick Park Senior Management team includes Franck Bellavoine as food & beverage manager, who will oversee the new 75-cover L’AMORE restaurant, private dining, afternoon teas, room service and event catering.
Bryony England has been appointed to oversee the front of house experience, while Melissa Brooker joins as group events manager and will be responsible for overseeing all corporate and leisure occasions at the hotel.
Roland Gal, previously of Hilton Group has been appointed group head housekeeper.
