After being acquired by Italian entrepreneur Elisabetta Fabri and completely redesigned by Anouska Hempel, The new-look Franklin Hotel Knightsbridge will reopen its doors on August 1.
The 35-bed boutique in Knightsbridge has been given a complete renovation, with designer Hempel taking her inspiration from her own travels for the hotel’s restyle.
The property is now part of Starhotels, and joins The Gore and The Pelham as the third London hotel in the Italian-based portfolio.
The Franklin’s Victorian building, said to be as ‘quintessentially English as Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the V&A’, has been made to feel more like a home than a hotel, complete with a dedicated Guest Experience Team on hand to tailor make excursions for guests.
Hempel has used opulent touches such as mirrored furniture, Italian velvets and silks, and has designed every area from the impressive presidential suite to the Martini bar and gym floor plus hamman.
The Franklin Hotel is also home to an Italian restaurant with an Italian Michelin-star executive chef at the helm, who is yet to be revealed.
