Achray House Hotel, which overlooks Loch Earn in the village of St Fillans, on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, has been sold.

The sale marks the retirement of former owners Alan and Jane Gibson, who have handed the baton to South African couple Bradley and Zelda Sol. The purchase price for the eight-bedroom hotel, which also features three adjacent lodge chalets, was not disclosed but selling agent Colliers International confirmed that it was close to the asking price of offers around £675,000.

Achray House Hotel has won widespread acclaim for its service and high standards. The holder of a coveted TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, the hotel’s facilities include a conservatory restaurant, lounge bar, residents’ lounge and a decked terrace, with spectacular views of Loch Earn.

Alistair Letham, a director with selling agent Colliers International, commented: “The Achray House Hotel, which trades on a seasonal basis, is a well-established and profitable family run hotel. Its range of accommodation is a delightful lifestyle business, as well as an excellent home. New owners Brad and Zelda Sol are excited about the challenge of running the hotel business in this picturesque part of the North West Perthshire Highlands."
