The Stanneylands hotel in Wilmslow has now reopened its doors following a £1.7m renovation under its new ownership as part of The Mere brand of hotels. DV8 Designs, which was appointed by The Mere Collection to work alongside the management team to spearhead the redesign and refurbishment of the much-loved Cheshire icon. The 55-bedroom hotel was purchased by Mark Blower and Gary Corbett, owners of The Mere Golf Resort and Spa in a £4.15m deal in January 2016. DV8 Designs was responsible for aligning the vision of the new ‘best of British dining destination with rooms’ concept. As part of the internal and external refurbishment of the classic Cheshire institution, a series of renovations has transformed the country house into an elegant boutique hideaway ideal for celebrations, dining and drinking. The casual all-day dining Tap and Pantry bar and restaurant comes with eclectic furnishings, while The Grill Room offers a more classic dining experience.
