A planning application for three new hotels has been submitted for the former Vauxhall Motors site in Luton.
The proposal, which also includes the creation of a new block of flats and medical centre, would see one new 424-bed hotel, one 261-bed hotel and one 209-bed hotel built on the site.
The site would also be home to shops, financial and professional services, restaurants and cafes, pubs and bars, takeaway outlets among others.
The former home of Vauxhall Motors has been vacant for more than 10 years, during which a number of planning applications have been submitted and then approved.
The hotels would include in-house restaurants and bars and a selection of meeting rooms.
A decision is expected to be made on the proposal by the end of June.
