The first underwater boutique hotel project could become a reality, as plans have opened up from a company in the US.
The project, from Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel, is now calling for strategic investment partners to finance its ‘revolutionary’ underwater boutique project.
The company has selected 15 sites to welcome an underwater hotel designed by Planet Ocean as part of the plans, with locations around the world such as the Maldives to Cuba and French Ploynesia chosen for their transparent waters and beautiful coral reefs.
Tony Webb, managing director of the American company, said: “We anticipate that many of our nation’s leaders will be very proud to see such a program implemented launch an entirely new industry of inner space undersea tourism for America and other underwater hotel host nations.”
However, for the project to succeed, it will first need the approval of the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Asset Control.
Then it will be time for the US firm to select potential investors before launching the production of its first prototype.
