A popular pub with rooms in Burnham-on-Sea has reopened following almost a £300k makeover in partnership with pub operator Punch.
The Victoria Hotel on Victoria Street, opened its doors on February 18 following an extensive renovation project that saw its bar and six letting bedrooms transformed.
The bar was completely reworked, and four new big screen televisions installed to broadcast major sporting matches.
The pub’s landlords Shaun and Carla McCann moved from Burton on Trent to run the popular establishment and now hope to make it a staple of the local community, with a wide range of wines, beers and spirits, plus making use of the newly-installed pizza oven.
Andy Killeen, openings manager for Punch said: “The Victoria has been completely redecorated throughout but we have been careful not to lose the feel and character of the building.”
