Pride of Britain adds to hotels with two new members

Pride of Britain Hotels has announced that two new members have joined the consortium, Bedford Lodge in Newmarket, Suffolk and Ellenborough Park, in Cheltenham.

The two new additions bring the consortium’s total collection to 48, just two short of its self-imposed upper limit.

Both hotels underwent an inspection and voting process, as per consortium rules, before joining Pride of Britain.

Bedford Lodge is a hotel and spa on the edge of Newmarket in Suffolk and Ellenborough Park is a historic property close to the racecourse in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Peter Hancock, chief executive of PoB said: “Bedford Lodge and Ellenborough Park represent two fine additions to our collection which now stands at 48 independent luxury and boutique hotels. It will be interesting to see who our member hoteliers elect next, as we only have two spaces left.”

Both have red stars from the AA and are highly rated for their food.
