Work is now underway on a £11.7m new ‘destination’ hotel and apartments in Abersoch, Wales, almost a year after planning permission was granted.
The project to demolish The Whitehouse Hotel, which shut in 2004, and build a replacement luxury hotel plus new homes, was given the go ahead in 2016, with developer Broomco headed up the plans.
Now work is moving ahead on the 40-bedroom hotel, complete with two restaurants, bars, sea-view terraces and a spa complete with swimming pool, treatment rooms and thermal suite.
The ambition is for the site to be finished in spring 2019.
A spokesman said: “It will be a luxurious destination hotel, combining a warm and relaxed atmosphere with coastal inspired interiors.”
Once complete, the 18 apartments are set to go on sale with estate agents Savills, priced at £395k.
