Punch Room at London Edition proves a hit with local Londoners

The Punch Room, the bar at the London Edition, has been named as Bar of the Year 2016 at the Time Out London Bar Awards, held on Tuesday evening.

The bar, a fumed-oak panelled den inspired by the comfort of English country manor house libraries and 19th century private clubs, also scooped the title of Most Stylish Bar.

Headed up by bar manager, Davide Segat, Punch Room serves up modern and traditional punches in the RSVP-only venue as guests enjoy tufted banquettes in teal velvet, overstuffed mint green leather tub chairs, and dark brown leather club chairs.

Featuring a daily changing punch, the Punch Room’s ethos places heavy emphasis on the social aspect of sharing and discussion, with punch bowls available for 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 people.

The wins come as Punch Room returns from its Punch on the Road series, where the bar has popped-up at some of the world’s best bars, from Singapore’s The Cufflink Club, to New York’s The Dead Rabbit.
