The recently refurbished Bovey Castle has now unveiled its indulgent new spa to mark the competition of the first phase of the hotel’s £2m transformation project.
The hotel, part of the Eden Hotel Collection, has given its treatment rooms and public areas of its spa a complete refresh to complement Bovey Castle’s new look.
The new spa now boasts an Art Deco feel, with silver and black decor, an open-plan waiting area, refurbished showers and a new Champagne nail room.
The six treatment rooms now include a dedicated space for men, offering traditional male grooming treatments including a luxury wet shave and full body massage.
The spa, housed in the Orangery, also includes an indoor Art Deco pool, a Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and hotel gym.
Bovey Castle has also launched a new range of ESPA treatments for both men and women, ranging from facials, massages and holistic treatments to waxing, manicures and pedicures.
The spa refurbishment is part of the first phase of a £2m restoration of the country house estate, which also includes an 18-hole championship golf course, country lodges and an outdoor-pursuits centre.
The Eden Hotel Collection, the AA Small Hotel Group of the Year 2014 / 2015, has now renovated the entire ground floor of the hotel, also transforming the restaurant, bistro and public rooms and adding a boutique shop.
Mark Chambers, managing director of the Eden Hotel Collection, says: “We’re absolutely delighted with what we have achieved with our spa at Bovey Castle, which has a lovely synergy with the rest of the refurbishment throughout the hotel.
“Our new partnership with ESPA is a great addition to our offering, as is the male-focused section which is a fast-growing market. Early feedback from guests has been hugely positive!”
The next stage of the Bovey Castle refurbishment programme involves the renovation of the bedrooms and bathrooms in the main house and of the country lodges. There will also be further investment in the championship golf course.
