Steelite International is well aware of the importance of presentation having commissioned research by OnePoll.
The results of the survey by the foodservice tableware manufacturer and supplier showed 81% of those surveyed stated presentation of tableware is important, or a very important, factor.
And, according to 61% of respondents a well-presented table positively impacts their dining experience.
The OnePoll research showed that tableware can also be used to justify price points with 60% of diners expecting a higher level of tableware.
Greg Fowke, National Account Manager for Steelite International comments: “New hotels are opening every week and we can provide advice to help them match the restaurant’s styling, and type of food, with the right tableware.
“This always works to their benefit in terms of taking customer satisfaction a step further.”
Steelite International’s latest tableware range, Optik, has been specifically designed and crafted for fine dining and Fowke believes the new range is ideally suited to boutique hotels.
On each item in the range the tactile, embossed pattern is slightly different which, he says, “offers an air of individuality, sophistication and surprise”.
There are over 30 items in the Optik range, including unusual tessellated salt and pepper pots.
Steelite International is planning a series of restaurant tours over the coming months working with chefs and buyers.
The tour includes a visit to Steelite’s showroom in London and offer a choice of tableware and table display.
