Robbers steal watches worth £300,000 from London hotel

Robbers stole £300,000 worth of designer watches from a display case at Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in Knightsbridge, London yesterday.

Police said that shortly after midnight, four suspects wearing helmets and riding two motorbikes approached the hotel in Cadogen Place, according to a report in The Standard.

Two men then reportedly ran into the hotel lobby and smashed the cabinets using a hatchet and a hammer, and grabbed the watches before fleeing on the bikes.

Hotel staff witnessed the raid but no one was said to be hurt.

The robbery is being investigated by officers from Kensington and Chelsea borough.
