Rocco Forte comms director passes the torch after 30 years

Rosie O’Brien has been appointed the role of group communications director of Rocco Forte hotels, taking over the position from long standing board member Richard Power.

O’Brien joined Rocco Forte 12 months ago as group PR manager and will take over the role as of May 2015 from Power who steps down after 30 years.

She will be responsible for the global PR of the 10 Rocco Forte Hotels properties, as well as overseeing the internal and external communications for the luxury hotel group.

Rosie brings ten years experience of luxury hotels to the role, most recently leading the launch of the Corinthia Hotel London and launching several new properties for the Dorchester Collection.

Rosie commented: “It is a very exciting time for Rocco Forte Hotels as the group has moved into an expansion phase. I am very much looking forward to the year ahead.”

After helping to found the group in 1996 alongside Sir Rocco Forte and his sister, Olga Polizzi, Power will continue to work with Rocco Forte Hotels on projects on a part-time basis.
