Rose & Crown Haverhill damaged by fire

A 16th century coaching house in Haverhill, Suffolk was damaged on Friday evening when a fire broke out in the roof.

Firefighters were called to the Rose & Crown just before 9pm on 25th July.

It took two crews to get the blaze under control, using two breathing apparatus and two hose reels to fight the flames.

The fire was under control by 10.08pm.

The hotel is located 30-minutes from Newmarket and Bury St Edmonds and boasts free WiFi, with a selection of standard rooms and business class rooms on offer.
