After initially spotting an opportunity to cater to Northern Ireland’s fledgling glamping market 18 months ago, Rossharbour Resort has been steadily growing its business.

Along with a games room, sauna, spa and afternoon tea packages, Rossharbour has invested in its wedding facilities as it aims to expand Fermanagh’s wedding destination credentials.

The Resort has two permanent event marquees along with an outdoor ceremony area.

The £1m investment is the first step of the expansion programme with the business planning to build a luxury spa and glamping pod village next year.

Speaking about its growth programme, Darren Johnston, owner and manager of the Rossharbour Resort said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome such a diverse range of guests to Fermanagh each day and help showcase Northern Ireland as a premier holiday destination. My vision for Rossharbour was to create a resort that could capture not only the beauty and calmness of the area, but also offer adventure and fun in a luxurious setting. I think this latest expansion sets us well on our way to achieving and building upon this vision.”

Darren Ward, relationship manager, First Trust Bank added: “Armed with an ambitious business plan, we were proud to support Darren and his team as they create a stand-out holiday destination.”
