Rudding Park, one of Yorkshire’s leading luxury hotels, is launching a new pop-up restaurant on site for summer, in a bid to pull in some extra punters looking for some top food.
Horto Pop Up Restaurant @Rudding Park will open tomorrow with acclaimed Harrogate chef, Murray Wilson running proceedings.
Latin for ‘kitchen garden’, Horto will utilise seasonal ingredients from Rudding Park Kitchen Garden, and Wilson has been working closely with the hotel’s kitchen gardener to ensure the quality of the produce being served.
Wilson will be serving up a five-course tasting menu, and will cook, serve and share the story of each dish as he goes along.
Boasting a wealth of experience on the Yorkshire food scene, Wilson has worked at the likes of Hotel du Vin and Yorke Arms in Ramsgill.
He also came second on BBC’s MasterChef: The Professionals in 2008 and has worked for Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s.
Rudding Park Hotel’s managing director Peter Banks said: “We are thrilled to welcome Murray to the team. He is a talented, innovative chef.
“Our new pop-up restaurant is a fantastic way to offer our guests something a little different this summer.”
