Russian supermodel to turn Scottish castle into hotel

Russian millionairess Olga Roh has purchased the 16th Century Inchdrewer Castle in Scotland for £400,000, with plans to turn it into a family home and a luxury eight-key hotel.

According to various media reports, the former supermodel snapped up the property, which overlooks Banff, Aberdeenshire, before viewing it.

Upon purchasing the castle, which requires extensive renovations, Roh acquired the title Baroness of Inchdrewer, but said she did not expect anyone to refer to her as Baroness.

Roh, 43, who owns Rohmir fashion label and once modelled for Versace, took time away from London Fashion Week this week to visit the castle for the first time.

She told journalists: "Both my husband and I want an authentic castle, we don’t want wallpaper, we don’t want Hollywood or Disneyland.

"We will now look for a Scottish architect, one who is sympathetic and understands the history of this building," she added.
