Scotland Parliament to decide VAT cut after vote: Minister

It will be up to the first independent parliament in Scotland to decide whether to reduce VAT, Fergus Ewing has told tourism and hospitality bosses.

Speaking to delegates at the British Hospitality Association Summit in London recently, the Scottish Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Tourism declined to give a firm commitment to cutting the tax and stressed that any decision would have to wait until after the referendum on September 18.
