Scottish boutique spa opens UK’s most lavish ladies loo

Scotland’s destination spa, Stobo Castle has unveiled its newest luxury offering, in the form of one of the most lavish ladies loos in the UK.

The luxury spa has pulled out all the stops and invested more than £100,000 in the new facilities, which even feature toilets with a wash and blow dry function, a first for Scotland.

Created by architect John Forbes and interior designer Lizzie Bell, the opulent new space includes a seating area with linen velvet embroidered fabric on the walls and textured soft furnishings.

With a colour palette of warm jewel shades, low amber lighting and background music, Stobo Castle has gone above and beyond to create the luxurious loos.

Jenni Watts, marketing director of Stobo Castle, said: “We pride ourselves on creating the most luxurious pampering experiences for our visitors from the minute they step through the door and the new restrooms add a different dimension to our exclusive offering.

“We are continually investing in exciting, new innovations at Stobo such as the latest SensoWash toilets and it is facilities like these that help us to be recognised as Scotland’s Best Spa. We have worked with John and Lizzie on several projects now and they completely understood the vision to create the most luxurious toilets in the UK.”

Stobo Castle was awarded Best Spa in Scotland by the Good Spa Guide in 2013 and 2014 and the renovation of the ladies facilities marks the completion of the next phase of development for the establishment. Further plans are now underway for a relaxation room.
