Second D&D London hotel to be launched within a year

D&D London has revealed plans for a second hotel in London to be acquired within the next year, joining the hugely popular South Place Hotel as the next boutique in its portfolio.

After the resounding success of South Place which opened in 2012, owners of D&D London restaurateurs Des Gunewardena and David Loewi are looking for a new site in central London and hope to find something to develop in the West End.

The hotel is expected to be design-led, innovative and created with the guest in mind.

D&D London’s current portfolio consists of 27 UK restaurants and one UK hotel, as well as four establishments worldwide and there are plans for growth and expansion in the pipeline within the next few years.

Des said: “We are looking out for new sites that will meet our needs and hope to have something secured within the year. Ideally we would like something in the West End of London and still very much would like to keep the boutique element – we wouldn’t want to go for something over 100 bedrooms. We have the financial backing and ideas; it’s now just about finding the right building.”
