Shortlist of top hospitality products announced

The Hospitality Show’s Star Product Awards has revealed the 10 best new products in the British hospitality industry.

Shortlisted from a high number of entries from exhibitors in the Food & Drink, Catering Equipment, Technology and Design sectors, the 10 products will be on show in a dedicated area at the three-day exhibition taking place at the Birmingham NEC.

Visitors to the show can vote via Twitter for the People’s Choice award which will be announced at 4pm on the Business Briefing Stage on 19th January, the first day of the show.

The shortlisted winners include:

KREBS hotCHOC LM3 by Walsh Direct
A food safe heated and insulated chocolate spray gun for professional chocolatiers that is both time and cost effective. Developed in conjunction with Barry Callebaut, the gun’s material output is adjustable allowing users to achieve thin applications, cutting down on costly extraction and cleaning bills.

Vanilla Macaroon Shells by Coup de Pates

The innovative tool allows customers to call the waiter, request drinks and ask for the bill using their phone. The app allows for feedback on food and service and measures customer wait times.

Offering many options of functionality, the Venta modular buffet system saves space and energy. It includes stylish induction tables which are ideal for hotels and restaurants in need of practical buffet display equipment.

CultBay by Cultuzz UK & Ireland Ltd
Working on behalf of hospitality venues, CultBay uses bespoke software that integrates with eBay to sell packages and offers via eBay vouchers. Offers can be created to suit the hotels’ or travel partners’ business needs, allowing them to offer deals subject to availability and voucher redemption as and when the business requires.

In addition, two products didn’t make the final 10 but were singled out for special recognition: Hobart UK’s FTPi flight-type warewasher and Essential Cuisine’s Pork Glace and Studio William’s Texture Spoons.
