St James’s Hotel and Club in Mayfair has announced the appointed of Anjana Pandya as the hotel’s new general manager.
She is said to be the first Asian female hotel GM in London and takes over from Graham Copeman who departed St James’s Hotel to join The Zetter last month.
Pandya holds more than 30 year’s experience in the hospitality industry and previously was the financial controller at the five AA red star, 60-bedroom property.
She started her career in 1985 as the accounts clerk at Greaves Travel and has since enjoyed stints at Home House, Champneys and Sheraton.
Alongside the hotel’s 60 bedrooms, St James’s Hotel and Club is home to one of the smallest Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, Seven Park Place by William Drabble.
