St James’s Hotel in London is putting the humble board game under the spotlight this year, with the launch of its new game-themed afternoon tea offering.

The hotel is offering the traditional tea with a twist as the V&A Museum of Childhood is hosting the exhibition ‘Game Plan: Board Games Rediscovered’, which looks at the history of games from around the world.

St James’s Hotel has created the theme of afternoon tea based on traditional board games, with executive head chef William Drabble serving up treats inspired by the likes of snakes & ladders, backgammon, chess, monopoly and Scrabble.
