Still time to capitalise on August’s Afternoon Tea Week

There is still time to make the most of Afternoon Tea Week as the country gears up to celebrate this traditional occasion in the week beginning August 10.

Boutique hotels up and down the country can capitalise on the week by hosting special events, running promotions and encouraging guests to give their own afternoon tea offering a try.

As well as venues nationwide taking part, London will also play host to the first-ever Afternoon Tea Week pop up.

Confirmed hotels getting involved include The Ritz, Conrad St James, Coworth Park and Intercontinental Park Lane, with more to soon be announced.

Organisers of the event, has launched a special Afternoon Tea Week website to give guests a chance to see exactly what events are happening near to them.

In 2014, saw 300,000 covers booked through the site, generating £7.5m of afternoon tea revenue for the venues they promote. The website now has over 500 venues nationwide listed, making it the world’s leading afternoon tea bookings site.
