Sussex boutique invites guests to have a ‘tantrum’

Ockenden Manor in Cuckfield, West Sussex has created an innovative new stress-busting package to target guests looking to de-stress and ‘let it out’.

The boutique hotel in Sussex is inviting guests to a new Tantrum Club spa day, which will launch later this year in September.

Katie Philips, a self-love mentor and tantrum instructor, will lead a 90-minute tantrum class, where participants will be encouraged to scream, shout, stamp, punch and air kick their stress away.

The Tantrum Club spa days will run on set days from 8 September until 8 March 2016 and will be priced at £125 per person.

Ockenden Manor’s new club is aiming at those who have become stressed by work, relationships, personal issues and the frustrations of today’s world.

Activity leader Katie will lead activities including popping balloons, wailing, shaking it out, stamping, war-cries, and beating beanbags with cricket bats to combat stress levels.

She will also guide on how to understand emotions and how they arise, how to recognise stress and how to deal with it.

After the stresses have all been released, guests can then relax with an aromatherapy massage, lunch and then time in the hotel’s spa.
