Historic Sussex Hotels, a privately-owned collection of luxury hotels, has been named in a list of ‘1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain’.
The report, which is produced by the London Stock Exchange, is a celebration of the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses.
To qualify for inclusion, companies must show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years and be significantly outperforming their industry peers.
Historic Sussex Hotels is one of only three hotel companies to be listed in the report and one of 148 in the South East.
Pontus Carminger, managing director of Historic Sussex Hotels, said the group was “incredibly proud” to be included in the list.
“The achievement is the result of the continuous commitment and dedication shown by the team and will inspire us all to continue to improve our service and guest experience. This recognition is testament to the enthusiasm of each of the teams and the continued belief in what we are doing.”
Historic Sussex Hotels comprises three hotels in West Sussex: Ockenden Manor Hotel & Spa, an Elizabethan manor house with striking modern spa in Cuckfield; Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa, set around a rose-filled courtyard in 30 acres of private parkland; and The Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa, one of England’s oldest coaching inns dating to the 15 Century in historic Midhurst.
Xavier Rolet, chief executive of London Stock Exchange Group, said: “High growth SMEs are the driving force behind the UK economy, developing the skills, jobs and growth we need.”
