Head pastry chef at Corinthia London is celebrating the launch of her first book with the creation of an exclusive new afternoon tea offering, available at the hotel for two weeks only.
Sarah Barber is launching Patisserie Perfection, her debut recipe book, this month and will be serving a special ‘Book Launch Afternoon Tea’ from September 21 to October 4 in the luxury hotel’s lobby lounge.
The tea will give guests the chance to sample some of the treats featured in the book – including ‘Chocolate Bars’ and ‘Petit Gateaux’ – inspired things Barber has learnt throughout her 18-year career.
The special afternoon tea will also consist of Jaffa Cake, mandarin jam and orange ganache; Bounty Bar, coconut sponge, milk jam, and tanariva toasted ganache and Chocolate Passion Ginger Gateaux, olive oil biscuit, fluid gel, and crystallised grue.
Barber said: “I am thrilled to be launching this book. It has been a long time coming. I have had a great team who have supported me through the process and I hope that I will inspire many more up-and-coming pastry chefs. The afternoon tea will give people a chance to sample my work before anyone else.”
