The privately-owned estate, Swinton Park, has announced the appointment of a new spa manager.

The luxury hotel, which opened the new £5.5m Swinton Country Club and Spa in July this year, has welcomed Gillian McGraffin to head up the new spa.

McGraffin replaces Emma Franklin who was appointed in 2015 to head up the launch of the new luxury spa.

Speaking on the appointment, Felicity Cunliffe-Lister, proprietor, says: “We are thrilled to welcome Gillian on board during this exciting and formulative phase for Swinton Country Club & Spa. She brings experience, flair and enthusiasm to the team and will be pivotal in realising our potential within the marketplace.”

The Swinton Country Club and Spa is home to nine treatment rooms, a swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, steam bath, steam room, Finnish sauna and alfresco sauna, pool and hot tub.

The Swinton Estate is one of the largest privately-owned estates in England, situated in North Yorkshire and has been owned by the Cunliffe-Lsiter family since the 1800s.

Swinton Park, the 32-room castle hotel is set in 200-acres of gardens and parkland, with the Swinton Cookery School in the Georgian Stable Wing. Swinton Bivouac is the estate’s tree lodge and glamping retreat, and the Estate has recently added a serviced cottage to the places on offer to stay.
