Tewkesbury Park in Gloucestershire has announced the appointment of Olivier Noel Ansquer as the hotel’s new deputy manager.
Ansquer will now work closely with Patrick Jones, Tewkesbury Park’s general manager, on the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including overseeing all F&B departments and the hotel’s expanding wedding and meetings business.
Spanning a career of over 30 years in hospitality, Ansquey joins Tewkesbury Park from Norfolk’s Blakeney Hotel.
Educated in France, he moved to London in 1992 to work at the Lanesborough Hotel and from then on held numerous positions in the likes of Hotel Saint Gregory, a 200-bedroom hotel in Shoreditch and Dans Le Noir.
He then relocated out of the capital to Weston Park in Shropshire to become food and beverage operations manager, where he stayed for ten years.
Commenting on his new role, Ansquer said: “I’m delighted to have joined Tewkesbury Park at such an exciting time, it’s a beautiful hotel and with all the work that has been carried out so far, plus with the new Cotswolds Suite and the wood-fired pizza bar and terrace due for completion this summer, plenty more exciting times are ahead for the hotel.”
Tewkesbury Park recently underwent a complete renovation with the new addition of nine suites, two meeting rooms, an orangery and a cocktail lounge. Besides the new additions, a complete refurbishment was carried out to its 84 bedrooms and communal areas, including the main foyer and reception.
The hotel has an 18-hole par 73 parkland golf course, academy course, practice range, putting green, golf boutique and squash & tennis courts. A fully-equipped health club has an excellent gym, indoor swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna and steam room.
