Tewkesbury Park hires new general manager

Tewkesbury Park has announced the appointment of Patrick Jones as general manager, ahead of the unveiling of the Gloucestershire boutique’s new look.

The hotel is currently undergoing an extensive £2.5m refurbishment, which will see the number of bedrooms increase to 94, and Jones has been appointed to lead this transition.

He joins from five-star boutique The Old Swan & Minster Mill in Oxfordshire, where he was responsible for increasing revenue by more than 30% and initiated a restructure of the sales team in a bid to improve sales activity.

Jones has over 30 years’ experience in the hotel industry, both in the UK and throughout Europe and will now be responsible for overseeing the continuing investment, development and daily operations at Tewkesbury Park.

Commenting on his new role, Jones said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Tewkesbury Park team at such an exciting time of investment and transformation. In tandem with this we will focus on putting guest hospitality at the heart of everything we do to further develop this fast-growing business.”
