The Ampersand Hotel in South Kensington has teamed up with The Girly Book Club to encourage more Londoners to embrace printed literature.
The hotel will be hosting a series of events with various authors and a selection of cocktails on offer in its library.
Located on the lower ground floor of the property, the library stores the boutique hotel’s curated collection of books amid a contemporary but cosy setting.
The first book club will take place on October 7 and welcomes author Anne Zouroudi to showcase her murder mystery The Feast of Armetis, which takes a bitter journey through Greece’s olive groves and uncovers a dark world of murder and sin.
Themed cocktails — Dirty Martini — with a Mediterranean twist will be served at the event.
On November 4, Rosa Rankin-Gee will offer an exclusive preview of her debut novel The Last Kings of Sark which is due for release on November 7.
