The Cumberland Hotel to be transformed into debut Hard Rock Hotel London

The internationally renowned, Hard Rock Hotel brand, is coming to London in the summer of 2018, in collaboration with glh Hotels, it’s been announced.

The hotel will be a conversion of the existing Cumberland Hotel, situated at Marble Arch on Hyde Park, home to 900 bedrooms and scheduled for completion in summer 2018.

The Hard Rock Hotel London will stay true to the city’s musical heritage – like all other Hard Rock properties – and host a series of live music events as well as being decked out with more than 80,000 historical pieces of memorabilia.

“From our foundation in 1971 with the opening of the first Hard Rock Cafe in London to the many days and nights spent at the legendary Hard Rock Calling festival in Hyde Park, London has always been a special city as the birthplace of our brand,” says Hamish Dodds, chief executive officer at Hard Rock International. “We look forward to completing the circle and establishing the Hard Rock Hotel in London, a legendary musical city that brought the greatest styles of rock to the world stage.”

Hard Rock London will feature a vast lobby lounge, an on-site Hard Rock Café and a Rock Shop, plsu a Rock Spa.

The new property will add to the list of ten new hotels that have been announced in the past year, including Hard Rock Hotel New York, Hard Rock Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie and Hard Rock Hotel Atlanta.
