The Fish on Farncombe gets glamping bug with five new shepherds’ huts due to launch in 2017

The Fish Hotel, the fun boutique hotel on the Farncombe Estate in the Cotswolds, will welcome five new shepherds’ huts to its offering in January 2017.

The new ‘Hilly Huts’ will be home to comfortable beds, bathrooms, wood-burning stove and an outdoor decking area with a chiminea, just a walk away from Dormy House and Foxhill Manor that all make up the Estate.

Crafted by local Wiltshire company, Ashton Shepherds, the huts are based on an original Victorian design, and come with underfloor heating, smart TVs and free Wifi.

The Fish is located on a 400-acre privately owned estate above the village of Broadway and guests to the huts will also be encouraged to make the most of the site’s activities from quadbiking to Segway safaris, archery and clay pigeon shooting.

In a quirky twist, room service will be delivered to the huts via golf buggy, while the huts will be kitted out with tea and coffee making facilities and a mini-bar.
