The Hoxton in Holborn is preparing to open in just two weeks time, with guest bookings already exceeding expectations.
The second offering from the owners of popular The Hoxton in Shoreditch, the 178-bedroom hotel will be home to a special Chicken Shop restaurant, offering both takeaway and a sit-down option, quirky meeting room spaces and a combination of ‘shoe box’ rooms starting from just £49 and medium-sized bedrooms, all with views overlooking the capital.
The hotel will also feature Holborn Grind, an independent coffee shop located in the lobby and the sister of Shoreditch Grind in Old Street. The plan is for the coffee house to eventually be given a license to serve cocktails.
Bookings for the highly-anticipated hotel have already exceeded expectations after opening to the public on July 7. General manager, Toby Garden, who came to The Hoxton project after spending 7 years at Firmdale Holdings, explains: “We’ve been taking lots of bookings already and it’s been fantastic; better than we ever expected. We haven’t even done a great deal of marketing yet, so word of mouth has definitely spread. I just can’t wait to get open now; it’s a really exciting time.”
