The Lanesborough London Hotel to close for renovation

The Lanesborough London Hotel will close for a nine-month refurbishment at the end of 2013, according to a report in Hotels Magazine

Works at the 93-room luxury hotel, operated under Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ St. Regis brand, will focus on guestrooms and public spaces designed by the late Alberto Pinto, who died last year after completing the schemes for this renovation, according to the report.

The hotel, managed by Geoffrey Gelardi, has not been significantly refurbished since it opened in 1991.
