A new boutique hotel, The St James Hotel, in Nottingham’s historic castle quarter, opens officially today, 23 July.
The former Rutland Square hotel, has been completely refurbished since its purchase a year ago.
it is described as a ‘value boutique’ offering a contemporary feel at a price to appeal to a wide market.
Chandeliers and pink marble floors feature in the public areas and there is a library themed bar/lounge with over 400 books.
Works by local artists predominate in the hotel’s gallery which is scheduled to stage has regular events.
A penthouse house suite comprises a 650ft room with the benefits of antique furniture and a four person hot tub while 87 guest rooms make up the rest of the sleeping accommodation.
The hotel can also provide several event spaces, the largest catering for two hundred people with views over Nottingham Castle.
